Artistic Directors

Barry and Amy Trammell

Artistic Consultant

Mr. Barry Trammell

Mr. Trammell has danced extensively across the United States for the last 20 years. His professional career has taken him from Ballet Florida and Oregon Ballet Theatre to City Ballet of Houston and Memphis Ballet. Throughout his career, he has sought to work with the magnificent artists of the Russian tradition of Classical Ballet.  Among these artists are Leo Ahohnen, Marek Cholewa, Andrei Ustinov, and Elena Martinson.  As a result of his collaboration with these distinguished dancers, Mr. Trammell has absorbed the rich, centuries old tradition of Russian Classical Ballet.  In addition to Mr. Trammell’s work in ballets such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Giselle, he has made occasional forays into musical theatre.  His choreography and dancing in productions of Hello Dolly, Brigadoon, and West Side Story earned him high acclaim and rave reviews.

Mrs. Amy Trammell

Mrs. Trammell earned a place in the illustrious Colorado Ballet. She was chosen as one from among hundreds of  dancers auditioning in Europe, Japan, and The United States. While dancing with this international company she had the honor of working with artists from the Kirov Ballet of St. Petersburg, Russia. Mrs. Trammell also danced with the Grand Valley Ballet where she danced in a wide repertoire of ballets from contemporary to Classical. With the Grand Valley Ballet she also had the opportunity to develop her teaching skills as a protégé of Ildiko Fricsay.  Her teacher training gave her a base in the Vaganova Method as well as a elaborately creative class structure for teaching young children.  Now a mother of three, she is happy to call Vero Beach her home.

Margaret Howard-Trammell

Margaret earned a Master's degree in dance and fine arts from the University of Miami.  Her course work included dance education for elementary school children, choreography, ballet and modern dance.

Margaret studied ballet for many years with Gail Grant, author of "Technical Manual and Dictionary of Classical Ballet"  She also danced with the Cultural Arts Ballet in Miami and performed in a variety of contemporary ballets.  In the 1980s and early '90s she formed a dance company, Szeto Dance Theatre.  The company developed as a partnership with two other dancers. The group performed in a number venues in South Florida

Margaret has also taught ballet and dance courses at Florida Atlantic University and Broward Community College (where she choreographed and staged student performances).  At FAU she taught Dance Education courses for teachers.
